CO alarm started beeping last night. I thought it was a dead battery. So I got downstairs, grab a new 9V, install it, beeps again.
Look up the beep code.
5-beeps every minute == EoL. Replace product immediately.
I get it that these things need to be replaced every few years.
BUT WHY THE ufck DID IT START BEEPING AT 4AM!?!
That shiat couldn't have waited until noon today?!

So, the reason a lot of these tend to beep in the early morning is because the temperature at that time tends to be the lowest, which impacts the chemistry in the battery causing lower voltages. Which causes the low battery warning to trigger at that point, as well as affect the readout for the self-test to determine if they are expired.

Sadly the penalties for smuggling pineapple out of Hawaii are egregious! Pineapple police at the airports . (Actually you can get green treated pineapples inside the airport but they don’t ripen quite right)
