Ended up shoveling a solid "runway" at the base of the driveway. Hopefully she has enough momentum to make it. It's still coming down. I don't think she's going to make it without a plow. Which might not come until late monday/Tuesday

I want to talk about something.

I'm a big Nissan guy. You guys know this.

But I take issue with some design choices.

For example. The rear brakes on the 226. The Xterra and Titan have COMPLETELY DIFFERENT brakes. Different pads. Different calipers. Different mounting. Exactly 0% interchangeable parts. I don't understand. You have an axle that you're putting in MAYBE 15% of Xterras. But 100% of TItans. The pumpkin is literally identical. They could have just ordered the tubes shorter and the shafts shorter and EVERYTHING else could be the same. Why the ufck do corporations waste thousands of how much ufcking money to re-engineer the ufcking wheel. It's ufcking infuriating. Why the ufck?!?

Along those same lines.

Rear turn signals. NADM cars are the ONLY ones on the ufcking planet that are allowed to have red rear turn signals. The rest of the civilized world REQUIRES amber rear turn signals.

But. Companies like BMW and Mercedes go OUT OF THEIR UFCKING WAY to specifically re-design and re-engineer tail lights to have red rear turn signals. JUST for NADM cars. I get it, that we are a large part of the european car market. But it feels to me that this is a ufckING WASTE of time/money.

I can't ufcking stand it. Apparently somebody in the Colorado legislature introduces a bill EVERY YEAR to get rid of it but it never goes anywhere. Why? Apparently the Ski Lobby (yeah, thats a thing) is against it. The Ski Lobby.
We get that same stupidity here. Except the options they always go for are either "leave things as they currently are", or "stay on DST", which would put us 2 hours off BC time for like 1/2 the year. Where is the "Let us keep Standard time" option, the sane one...

Let's extend that to the r180 vs the M205.... and the track width..... and engine choices. I'm so pissed at Nissan for following through on all the shiat they've seen a Gone... dumb asses.... they could easily have built Jeep competition, and it would have eaten the new bronco 6 years before it even came out.

Oh. They for sure don't really care about people lik us.

I get the track width thing. Same frame, bigger body, longer control arms. That actually makes sense. But yeah. The 180 VS the 205 is another good example. Why design a smaller diff for something on the same chassis? Why not make it all the same? Why invest the extra expense? And why make the 180 at all when you already had the R200 in the 1st Gen that was better? Along those same lines, why not just keep the H233, put disc brakes BACK on it (since it had disc brakes in the mid 90s) and update the width for the 2nd Gen?

The funny thing is, I've caught my cat sleeping in his carrier. But go to put him in there to take him somewhere, and he'll try to rip your arm off.
