I buy from local shops. I can usually get them mounted balanced for the same price as I can find them shipped online but then have to pay extra to get them put on.

Yeah, my shop will match prices from DiscountTireDirect or TireRack. The only reason I buy from DTD is to get the certificates since I'm hard on my tires, and I'll say this the "safe" way and just say for our other car it sees a lot of curb edges. The extra cost for mounting/balancing is worth it for the free tire in case of accidental destruction.

On a lighter note, I was talking to my parents neighbor yesterday. He's got a full shop with a lift. Im hoping I talked him into helping me out the lift on Nebula.
Also, I managed to talk my parents into letting me take over their garage between Christmas and new years. Dad and I are going to try and knock out building the trailer. At least we can get all the exterior work done.
