If you drive off the pavement, there will be damage. It's just proof you did something.
That's what I told her. Although now I'm thinking I might want to pick up some rock sliders.

So, Nebulas mod list has expanded to:

2 inch ome lift
285/75r16 tires
Sliders

We basically spent about half the day rock crawling.

On the plus side, she let's me buy whatever I want for both vehicles now. No questions asked.

Sliders first. Much cheaper than a rocker panel. Ask me how I know....

I would like to get some sliders for my X. Any recommendations for some low profile units that won’t look too gaudy on a non-lifted X?

I already have the lift, it's just not installed yet. Sliders will come before tires. I might check with a local shop to see if they can fab something.

As promised here are pics of the aftermath.

We got lucky here. Could have been MUCH worse, given the size of the rocks we were dealing with. But, this necessitates sliders.

On a happy note, just ordered a new set of shoes for Gamora! It's had a set of toyo at2s on it since I got it two years ago.

Ordered a set of Kenda Klever At2 Load E in 265/75r16.

I've heard nothing but good things about these tires, so I decided to give them a try.

If I remember from my Super Metroid days, I you jump around the Metroid so it doesn’t drain your power, and you slowly make your way to the end of the corridor.

Somehow I just found out today there's such a thing as 'mini' traction/recovery boards. Intended to be for smaller cars and UTVs, but for me they'll be perfect as levelling for when I'm camping with the RTT. Plus a lot lighter and a lot cheaper.

So the Ford Maverick. Its got an AWD version for under 30 grand. Certainly not a possibly crawler but outside of Subaru its hard to get an AWD vehicle for under 30, let alone a truck.

What you say?

City truck. Rebodied escape. No low range. For the specs the price is right

Cheetahs are seriously amazing on the evolutionary tract. All other big cats say retracable claws are the best. Cheetahs say, "ufck you, I make cleats."

I had read that Ford is targeting younger city people who have no need for a pickup, but occasionally need to bring home a potted plant or a bag of miracle grow. It’s cute and clever. My daughter would definitely go for something like it. But it would make more sense as an AWD EV. But then the price would be too high for it to be worth it.
