First 2 are the same place where it attach's to the hood itself , notice the bracket follow's the contourof the piece it's bolted to.
when I did mine I did one complete side at a time so it wouldn't shift but there's alway's

The little metal band's that are on the 4 piston end's actually should slide up to the tip's , then you attach by placing the piston end's onto the circular nubby of the bracket's that are already bolted on then slide the metal band's back down , that's what locked them in . At least that's how mine worked I just don't know what the 2 little black tab's are for as my kit [ offroad gorilla ] didn't have.
