So because the lugnuts are so short on the X is there a reason why I shouldn't put some longer ones on it??
I need to replace one and have been thinking about putting black ones on it so if it's not a bad idea then our lugs are M12-1.25s so ordering the M12-1.50s would be a 1/4" longer, right? And maybe I could even find some 1.75 and get a 1/2" more on em.. ?

1.25 and 1.50 are the thread pitch. Not the length. The length is measured in millimeters. So an M12-1.25 x 25 would be
M12 = 12mm width
1.25 = thread pitch
25 = 25mm long.
M12 = 12mm width
