Yeah, that guy Goshn was a real piece of work. Except for a passing admiration for Z cars, I didnt know a lot about Nissans. My wife drove a late 90s Altima. Her cousin was some VP of something or other at Nissan and got us a deal when we traded in a 2000 F150 with a sketchy 4.6 for the X in 2006. Glad we got it. Its capability pleasantly surprised me from the get go.

That may be so. But the 4.6 in that truck was the king of misfires. Too bad. It was a cool rig otherwise.

They’d eject plugs but that was about it, pretty sure million mile (1.2 when the trans died) was a 4.6
Either a 400 or 800 is a good choice, ford v10’s get a lot of hate but it’s a motor I respect, it’s slow, guzzles fuel, but it’ll get it done and probably be one of the most reliable maintenance free things you ever own. Excursion bros too obsessed with the 7.3 that makes my most over rated engines list.
