Hail!
New to the club and new to the Xterra. Loved em since day one and finally went out, dropped 20k (still paying some off) and came out with a certified pre-owned 2009 4x4. Automatic (it's also my daily driver), just threw some Cooper Discovery AT3 31" tires on it. Stock as it stands but definitely hoping to beef him up in 2013
In the four months I've owned it, we've gone off roading in California City during Wasteland Weekend, and down through the deserts south-east of Palm Springs for our bi-monthly firearm training weekend. It has performed more than admirably, especially in the washouts - hit 40mph for a good few minutes of haulin' ass through soft sand, under dying trees and over rough bushes. Good times! Also signed up on clubXterra, TNX and SCCX.
Got to head up with three other Xs to Idyllwild mountains enjoying all California has to offer- starting in desert through dirt and mud, over hills through rain and misty mountains. About six hours into the trip we peaked the mountain and past 6000ft elevation it started to snow!! Mystical day to say the least. My face hurt at the end of the day from smiling so damned much.
Gotta get some skid plates, roof lights and working on getting a Calmini 2†lift set up. Just turned 23 and not raking in cash but definitely want to get a suspension lift up. It’ll give me something to toy with until I can save up for a real 3". Just ordered my rear recovery points from RockyMtnX and a front recovery hook from Smittybilt. So we've got a start
Hope all is well with you & yours!
