Quick sample video from Haspin Acres, Coal Creek, and Thrashing Trails and the "progression" of mods. Also trying to use mostly video that I haven't posted before (for the most part). Open to suggestions please, love hearing comments on the videos (especially since I got a new camera and I haven't worked out any of the kinks yet)

What do you like to see when xterras go off road? Camera angles? etc... lay it on me!

Nice vid :)

Getting lower to see all the suspension working on the truck while it's flexing over obstacles is always a good shot to get.

The scene around 2min was neat over the bumps :)

Mud shots are neat but they get old quick because they are all the same. Big splash, a quarter of the vehicle disappears under mud/water, vehicle reappears and there is some dirt on the sides. So i'd keep those to a minimum.

Oh and I like the panning around the truck in the driveway. you can see all the mods done clearly

Thanks! That's exactly what I was looking for! I'm still pretty new to my camera (sony hanycam) and I'm just looking for some shot suggestions! Now I just have to get out, wheel more, and get some more footage!

A lot better than I can do :)

Not at all man! It just takes a while to see what turns out well (and what doesn't). The biggest thing I've found so far is what BlckHwk13 said. Some of the shots can get boring really quick. The worst is editing and putting something out right after you go wheeling. You're excited about the trip and everything you did so you just want to show it right away... rather than weeding out stuff that could really only be interesting to you.

BlckHwk13, where did your avatar pic come from? Looks a lot like one of the characters my brother does on deviantart

True, the last one I did on my adventure thread was pretty bad but I'm learning from experience.

X2, I was about to post the same thing. Overall it is a very well put together video, good job xearth!

Always said, free mods are the best mods. Well for the price of a cutting wheel or two.

Haha yea, for sure! I told myself I'd wait until I could just remove it and get a rear bumper, but I might have to go that route. Was there something that was posted about not being able to do with the stock hitch receiver?

For sure! A tri-pod or a wheeling buddy has been my best luck. It's great to go with someone else, because everyone wants footage of their truck, so it's easy to take turns filming, and then you get some good exterior shots

KEep the volume all the same :)

Shoot, just noticed it was louder at the beginning then at the end. I like the dips for the hitch hitting, but I must have kept the volume of the track turned down some... Next time I'll make sure quality assurance goes thru it better :)
