Oooohhh OK. Yeah, that was a huge pain in the ass to take apart.Noooo I couldn't get the honey comb apart from the rest of the grille

Rather than break somthing I dippedOooohhh OK. Yeah, that was a huge pain in the ass to take apart.
The clips on this one were captive on both sides. So I actually had to pry the black plastic open with a screwdriver to get the clips out. It also took a pry tool to get between the two pieces and keep pressure as I worked my way across the grill so it didn't pop back together.I seriously don't get the hard part. It's clips/pins that need to be compressed then pushed. Atleast on mine. Am I missing something on other models?

Okay. I'll charge $200 labor. Sound good?Do mine next
What is this "serviceability" you speak of? Once it's up, you never have to take it down again, right? In the interest of serviceability, I soldered disconnects on to the overhead wiring.
That way it can be unplugged and pulled if need be.
What if the headliner needs to be done down the road? Or I need to drill more holes in the roof! What is this "serviceability" you speak of? Once it's up, you never have to take it down again, right?
Crimping tools are overrated. Needle nose pliers and solder. Done.I love deutsch connectors but usually end up using wether pack conectors as I have the crimping tool for them

Man I wish my wiring was so clean. I need to spend a day and clean up my wiring.

Deutsch 6-pin Connector Kit W/housing, Terminals, Pins, and Seals 14-16 Gauge Crimp Style Terminals https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B4FDBLK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_ICzRybNQ79FMBOoh very nice. Where exactly did you get those connectors? Or did you have them just laying around
I know it'd take me more than a day.. haha
Hence the laugh. You know as well as I when you say you'll never need in anywhere again, you're back in a week later. What if the headliner needs to be done down the road? Or I need to drill more holes in the roof!

I spent a year as a electrical technician building firetrucks. Crimp ends are way faster when you are doing a cople hundred conections a day.Crimping tools are overrated. Needle nose pliers and solder. Done.

Plus doesn't soldering fatigue more when exposed to vibrations and that?
Haha. Yeah.If your rig vibrates enough to break the solder on a tinned pin connector them you've got far greater things to worry about my friend.
Well yes. In that instance a crimper makes perfect sense.I spent a year as a electrical technician building firetrucks. Crimp ends are way faster when you are doing a cople hundred conections a day.
