NissTech 2.5" spacer with AAL Installed!!

*Pics in post #9*

Today I ordered the NissTech 2.5" lift kit from www.nisstechlifts.com. They are the same guys that own ToyTech from what I understand.

I spent some time trying to decide how to allocate the mod funds on the X and a spacer lift is going to do just fine with an AAL in the rear, and allow me to get sliders on the X perhaps in the next month or two.

The NissTech spacer is a Coil Spacer as opposed to a Strut Spacer like PRG sells. The coil spacer sits on top of the coil spring inside the strut assembly and does not require bump stops or cause bucket contact. The Coil Spacer also compresses the coil spring and in turn creates a stiffer ride. The Strut Spacer sits on top of the entire assembly and lowers the strut by the thickness of the spacer without compressing the coil which is probably best for those who don't have any extra weight on the front end. I have OR suspension with a Shrock front bumper with sliders coming soon. The coil spacer is going to reduce the dip when braking and roll in the corners. For me the Coil Spacer made sense over the Strut Spacer. I will have to take my front coils apart to insert the spacers, but a good friend with a shop has offered to help.

Nice these guys are great and were willing to do a special set up for me when I contacted them. I got my issue fixed so I didnt go with them but. The fact is they were willing. Really like to see these guys succeed as well as be a sponsor.

Very cool!! Hope you do a write-up as well. I hear good things about NissTec and hope to see more of their products.

With the help of Adam (hopelesshumansrus) and my buddy Dietrich we got the lift on this weekend. I wouldn't call this a write up, as Nisstec did a pretty great writeup for both the front and rear and have it posted on their site.

Sway bar detached and bottom shock bolt out.

Front coils removed.

Both coils off the X. One of the lower shock bolts was a real treat. It took plenty of heat and impact gun to get it free.

Rawrrr! Digging the after pic.... and I think that "35-45" vibration is sort of expected... see what the alignment does for you - hopefully it will smooth it out. That or move it to about 65mph, LOL.... ;-)

Nice write-up - looks like you had some nice shop space to work in, too.
