Hi Nation, thanks for the great gathering of info. I just bought my first xterra 2 days ago for a family outdoor adventure rig and have to say the more I drive it the more I love it. It should handle the back country nicely as is but will be looking into some upgrades as we explore. Looking forward to learning the ins and outs of this rig and hoping to be able at some point add my .02.. :) Thanks and happy trails.

Wow thanks guys for the welcome. I'm going to have lots of questions I'm sure as I go down this journey. This is my first non chevy and newer by 18 years..lol With all the little lights and things it's going to be a headache for sure but glad I found this place to read up on and get help, so far I haven't read a bashing thread yet so that's a great start.. Thanks again..

You'll be searching forever if you're looking for a bashing thread. We don't tolerate that crap here. That's why people keep making the switch to XN. I've been here for 2 years so far, and some of these guys are pretty dang cool..and then there's that DRB guy, he's a whack job. ;)

Hey man. Just moved back to Kentucky from Great Falls, MT. Welcome. Since you're up there, check out Expedition Overlamding on YouTube. It's a documented web series of guys prepping for a massive Overland Travel in Alaska but they're based out of Bozeman! They have some sick gear, and possibly even help out with a build. I never heard of it until about a week ago or so; a month after I moved. Check them out.
