My truck is possessed

After I park my truck if I leave it unlocked it will automatically lock itself after maybe half an hour or so it will all of a sudden the lights will flash and all the doors will lock does anyone know what I should check or what would be causing this

mine was doing this for awhile... Started right after the batteries in my keyless entry started to go. Mine did it up until I took the remote out of the truck. Pretty sure the keyless entry remote causes this problem.

Definately the battery. Mine did that awhile back and my friendly neighbor called the cops when it startes @ 2 am. I took out the batteries and it's never happened again.

Seems to have been the issue, it haven't done this again yet, so does this mean I need a new fob?

Maybe just a new battery. That sure would be a lot cheaper.

Fobs aren't as expensive as you think... a NICE gentleman sent me a pink one and works like a charm! Super easy to program too!

Luke had the same issue with mine so I swapped out to my extra fob and no issues since.

Ok cool I ordered new fobs I was getting kind of worried that I cut a wire or had a board going out or something

With mine if I unlock it and don't open the door it'll lock itself back. I kinda like that. It also does like yours as I went out to lock it and it was already locked. Would be bad if you left your keys in it though.

Mine has always done the lock itself thing if I unlock and don't open a door. I think they're supposed to do that as a security feature in case you accidentally unlock the doors like if something in your pocket pushed the button as you're walking away.

Mine will do that as well but it was also locking at random all the time It Would also just randomly lock even after it was already locked, I'd be in the garage and all a sudden the lights would flash lol

I have an IR camera, K2 meter, MEL meter and various digital recording equipment. We can go all Ghost Hunters on it if we need to.

i should test this on my X lol
but ya it seem like something the computer system would do when it goes from key off pending mode to sleep mode.

by the way, does your X still let out a "lock honk"?
