True, I grew up with Pierce Brosnan as Bond so I immediately thought Craig would suck. But I like him. I didn't like Skyfall as much as everyone else seemed too, but Craig is a good Bond.
And that is a good point, Downey and Stark are a lot alike.
You didn't like Skyfall because you didn't watch Sean Connery in Dr No, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, & Diamonds Are Forever repeatedly when you were little. (We're going to go ahead and temporarily forget about George Lazenby in OHMSS.....for any other Bond nuts out there)
I liked the Brosnan Bond films.....well....most of them....Tomorrow Never Dies was pretty much garbage. Doctor Christmas Jones?!?! Really?!?!
Skyfall completed the reboot of the 007 franchise. When Casino Royale came out, sure it was good. But it don't feel very "007ish." Then Quantum of Shoelace....I mean Solace. A little bit better, but still not what I thought Bond should/could be w/ Craig behind the wheel. Then we came full circle in Skyfall. And while I thought the villain was kind of stupid, it brought the entire franchise back around to the red padded door and tossing the hat on to the hat rack. It was brilliant.
RE Marvel Movies:
Yes. The distribution companies are different but all of the rights for the characters are still held by Marvel the entity. Now, Marvel Studios (from my understanding a breakaway from Fox) does not have rights to all of the Marvel characters. WHICH IS STUPID! And while I get it that these are different earths or different timelines or what have you, they have already rebooted the Spider-Man series (much to my dismay) into a new reality so why can't they do that with some more of the Marvel stuff. But in a good way.
/McGuire was a better Spider-Man
//Venom was the biggest let down of the entire series
///Really wanted to see Carnage or Venom done right
////Yes, I'm a giant nerd.
