Yes, everyone is welcome to attend so if you're from West, Middle, East TN, KY or Alabama willing to make a trek up there, feel free to do so!

That's why I put this out two months in advance so everyone can plan around it and when its closer, maybe mid-Feb or end of Feb, I'll post up a poll with dates for this event and everyone can kinda vote on it.

I've posted this over TNX and got a couple interested too.

Meanwhile, put yourself on the list if you're interested, even if you're a Maybe, post it anyways so I can get an general idea.

I'm gonna try to get in touch with the place and see what the hours/dates would work for them and I'm gonna say to expect at somewhere between 15-20 folks just to be on the safe side.

I hope to get the ball rolling on this soon so I'll keep this thread updated.

Update:

I finally got a response from the folks that run Lefty's BBQ. They are closed right now, and is in the process of building a new, bigger building at a better location (Will be off Genesis Rd), and they are projecting a Grand Opening in April/May but were not able to confirm the date as of right now. They informed that the land had been purchased and that the building plans had been approved and hoped to start construction immediately.

So, just wanting to give you an update and that I haven't forgotten about this, just been a quite a task getting ahold of the folks there. As I find out the grand opening date, I will have a poll of days on weekend that suits our schedule best.

If they aren't reopened in time any old place will do. As long as there's room to park a few Xterras and hang out for a while it's all good.

Checked their update....construction has already begun on the new site.

I'm estimating late April or early May, weather/construction dependent....

If this might be an issue, let me know and I can postpone this event to later in the summer time.

UPDATE:

Spoke with the BBQ owner, they are predicting late May to mid-June as they quoted "Its too far to tell right now but we predict between Memorial Day Weekend and Independence Day."

So, seeing this will be in the early summer time, is there any interest in this?

The problem is I'm not too familiar with Crossville area and I'm not sure of any good other mom and pop restaurants like Lefty's. I'll talk to my parents and see but Lefty's has been around forever....

While not a mom and pop place, from what I remember the restaurant at the hotel at Cumberland County State Park in Crossville has a good buffet. I don't know if that would be a good place for the meet or not but it's something to consider.

I've been dealing with alot of stuff going on, especially a death of a close long time friend which I've been taking it hard.
