Might as well post here too. Had an “oopsie” when going to get more ammo today and bought a new knife too. Benchmade full immunity. Gorgeous piece. Love the scales. M4 steel. Easy conceal pocket carry. I’m a big fan. Three finger scales but lanyard for 4th if needed.

So playing with that lanyard today made me break out one of my old spyderco ones and put it on my para 3. If the knife doesn’t work for self defense I could use the lanyard and bead like a mace. ufcker is heavy as hell. Lol.

I e made a couple lanyards over the years. I think i only have a Spartan helmet bead left. The beads are so bloody expensive compared to the paracord

Sending you a fixed blade to make better grips on the handle probably wouldn’t fly with crossing the border would it? I’d pay you to do it of course.

For all I know it could be something he got overseas while in military or just some cheap knife he got somewhere. No idea. Keeps a good edge though and he took care of it. But the old man always took care of all his tools.

@Fromfrontier2Xterra

honestly the G10 or what ever material the scales are
Made of look like they have held up the test of time. With the knowledge knowing it was your grandfather's in wouldn't want to risk somebody at Canadian Border Services wanting to keep it for them selves.

same with not sure i would be able to do it justice adding a cord wrap to it. A simple lanyard for additional decoration might work but not all lanyard knots will work with the simple lines on this blade

No worries. Appreciate the thought and input.

@maillet282 every see one like it out of curiosity or know anything about it?
I havent seen anything like it the scales look like either a G10 material or a very compressed micarta. There are no makers mark on the blade that i can see or pins attaching the scales to the handle for that matter. The scales are showing a bit of wear from use. The index finger ring makes me think it was used as more as a defensive blade than a skinner or hunter.

the sheath looks hand sewn and is showing a bit of age and use. But has been still taken care of and not too dried out.

I pre-ordered an auto-Immunity January of 2022, when they were originally planned to be released during the summer of last year. Now, still patiently awaiting the release for the fall of this year. lol Yes, it's been a wait, but with the pre-order and pro discount, I got in on the auto for about $60 less than the what the Immunity is being sold for now.

This is the first of the knives I've been tasked with selling for my buddy's widow. Ron was very particular about his knives and I'm trying to be fair on pricing but also get his wife fair value.

Posted here first for y'all.

Finally received my Full Auto Immunity last week, after waiting since January of last year when I pre-ordered it. Luckily, I got in on the pre-order, with the military discount, and was able to pay significantly less than what they're going for now. She's small, but she's mighty and maybe slightly angry.
