Bottom of a coffee cup.. helps some times, for sharpen a blade.. and a Vehicle window edge for a fine finish.. Gots to get Creative when in need of a sharp edge. Or buy more knifes for back up to the back up. It's a slippery slope!!. haha
I like having a backup, to my backup, to my backup. And a few spares. Lol

In all my “higher end” knives the ones who best keep their blade are spyderco, Kershaw, and Buck. I actually have to sharpen my benchmades on the regular no matter the steel.

one of my Sgt Maj asked me to sharpen him PM2 if I have time. I can't remember what angles come from factory on the PM2. Might need to look it up on the Spyderco FB page

I use the sharpie method to determine factory angles. Run a sharpie down part of the sharpened area, lightly run a stone along it and adjust the angle up or down, until you're removing the color evenly along the sharpened area.

So have had time to “play” with them. I’m regretting the Lumi. (Black blade / black handle). Opening mechanism sucks. It’s a flipper but it’s very hard to flip with one hand. Even re-oiled to see if it would fix. The flipper portion is rounded and just does not grab your finger enough to get a good flip. Otherwise I like it. Nice handles, beautiful sharp blade.

This tiny rounded nub is the flipper.

I know shipping is a pain for ya but talking with him (email) it seems if you send him your item and an idea he does pretty much anything.
i like the look of his work. ( not quite the price tag since its in USD. And the conversion is brutal. $1CAD= $0.75 USD right now). That plus shipping and customs are a killer for me.

plus it makes for alot of $$$ to risk finding out im not a pocket sheath kind of guy.

Yea,my thoughts exactly. I'm not wearing now but will tomorrow for the first time. Seems to have fit well without a knife on test fit. I could still get into my pocket without fuss. Not if I was wearing tight jeans tho.

So I really like the JouFuu pocket sheath. It fits nicely in the pocket of my jeans and most shorts. It's kinda a pain to get in there if you have small stuff but my phone fits nicely, screen against leg, knife against back of phone. I can easily grab my phone with a few fingers inside the pocket and the knife, Xancudo, is quick to draw and resheath.

It's a nice piece of kit.
Do I need it?
Yes, because I love the Xancudo and hate carrying it on the hip due to (my) size.

That's 100% how I feel.

I loved the Xancudo but never carried it in the original sheath. With the JouFuu it's my go-to EDC and was on my side this whole weekend in NC.

Been telling you. ;)

His stuff is top notch. I've been waiting for the right one for my 440C Izula.
Aren't these interchangeable with the Izula or is that the Izula 2?

The quality is unmatched from anything I've owned leatherwise. So smooth and tight. He's proud of his work and has good reason!

Since TerryD has me thinking knives again.. Where can I get a lead on new scales for the Xancudo? I've tried everywhere and all I see anymore are the black and orange 3D's..

Any recommendations?

There's a few guys in the esee FB group that are making them, but nothing commercially available.
