That would be a good one. The CR2.5 I think would be a little better. You typically want a shorter blade for whittling IMO. And the CR2.5 has a really nice narrow blade profile that lends itself well to precise control.
I love my CR2.5, I use it for everything! In fact, two friends have gotten them since I've gotten one and raved about it.

@TerryD is that RB3 1095 or was the original Camp Lore RB3 a different steel? It looks different. And I'm gonna have to look up a scandi grind as I've never sharpened the Mora I've got with the same..

I like the looks of that setup and I think I'll get some of the scales like yours for easier grab n go..

I asked him about a product and he said his table was open for whatever I wanted so I'm trying to figure out a pattern that would compliment the orange n blk. The only thing he doesn't have is blk leather atm.
I like this 2tone crazy horse Screenshot_20221110-030846_Chrome.jpg

Do you "fit" your sheaths to your knives or let them mold to fit themselves?
I just wear them till they form but with the Xancudo, it got a forced wet form when I was helping set up a birthday party and it started pouring down rain. I was soaked to the core but it produced a really nice fit for the sheath.

If you want to for e a wet form on a leather sheath. Wrap the knife in Saran Wrap, soak the sheath in water until it stops bubbling , insert knife ( with Saran Wrap) into sheath then place everything into a good save bag and vaccine seal. It will help wet form that leather

How long do you leave it in the bag sealed up?

I didn't vacuum seal it but that's pretty much what I did with my PR4 sheath on my 4 3d.

I just "walked it dry" with my Xancudo sheath after getting soaked down.
