What about the 2 lights in the climate control section of the dash? I think they are 2721's. Has anyone swapped these for LED's? I have replaced the gauge cluster lights and the gear indicator console lights, but I want to have all the dash lights blue.
Very true. I have the JW Speaker Model 90 low beam headlights in my bumper, and they are f'n awesome. Well worth the money I spent on them. One caveat...some LED won't have the resistors, regulation, etc needed to work on straight battery current (Plug and play), and, can burn out prematurely. Adapters or LED that come with it all built-in can overcome this, but, if your LED are flickering for example, this is the typical reason.
From what I can tell, if you want LED headlights, the JW Speaker Evolution II are, right now, pretty much the top of the LED headlight crop. You'd have to custom mount the buckets to use them, but, that would not be that hard as they come as 7" round sealed beam type configurations, an easy format.
They are $$$$$, but, from everyone who has them/tested them....worth it.
(You do need an adapter to prevent flickering)
You've got something else entirety going on. Sounds almost like a short. I've never heard of something like that that didn't involve shorted wires. The only problem I have with the LED's I have now is that when I hit the breaks the front running/parking lights come on. Gonna try a load resistor on them and see if it'll straighten out.
Yes. It's that simple on the 1st Gen trucks. Not so much on the 2nd gen.So the flasher is located under the dash? And once you put that one in you'll be able to run LEDs, no problems?
Looks just like the one I bought. They should be able to cross reference it in the store

Looks right to me.
