Can you post up what bulbs you got? I went on the vleds website and they don't make it easy to search for the bulbs you need for direct replacements.

No problem. I don't have the front corners and the parking lights in yet. There's something wrong in my license plate circuit cause that one isn't lighting up at all. The 3rd brake light needs 2 "orders", one "Pair" plus one "Single", so if you notice why 2 packages bring up the same bulb in your search.

What about the 2 lights in the climate control section of the dash? I think they are 2721's. Has anyone swapped these for LED's? I have replaced the gauge cluster lights and the gear indicator console lights, but I want to have all the dash lights blue.

How hard was it to replace the gauge cluster lights? I've been wanting to swap mine out for brighter ones. Does the dimming function still work when you swap them out though? The gear console light also interests me

It was not hard. Like all other parts on the dash, you have to be patient so that you don't break off any tabs. The gear console light was easy peasy. The plastic trim just pops off and the lamp is under the mechanism. And yes, the dash lights dim with the switch. Pretty sure there is a write-up on the boards for the instrument cluster lights.

Yeah. But it's pretty low so it's easy to get to. The aftermarket flasher doesn't have a mounting tab like the OEM one does. So once I plugged it in I just looped the wires over the steering shaft to keep it up and out of the way.

One caveat...some LED won't have the resistors, regulation, etc needed to work on straight battery current (Plug and play), and, can burn out prematurely. Adapters or LED that come with it all built-in can overcome this, but, if your LED are flickering for example, this is the typical reason.

From what I can tell, if you want LED headlights, the JW Speaker Evolution II are, right now, pretty much the top of the LED headlight crop. You'd have to custom mount the buckets to use them, but, that would not be that hard as they come as 7" round sealed beam type configurations, an easy format.

They are $$$$$, but, from everyone who has them/tested them....worth it.

(You do need an adapter to prevent flickering)

The only problem I have with the LED's I have now is that when I hit the breaks the front running/parking lights come on. Gonna try a load resistor on them and see if it'll straighten out.

Very true. I have the JW Speaker Model 90 low beam headlights in my bumper, and they are f'n awesome. Well worth the money I spent on them.

You've got something else entirety going on. Sounds almost like a short. I've never heard of something like that that didn't involve shorted wires.

When you get random lights kicking on when you hit the brakes it is usually either a short or a loose ground. I had a loose ground on my center brake light in my old jetta and every time i hit the brakes it would light up the turn signals, marker lights, flasher button in the dash and the gauges would get really bright. It was that for months until I randomly found the loose nut in the trunk when routing some wires for my amp one day. Voltage will backfeed trying to find a ground.

LEDs are a lot more sensitive to errant voltage. So there was still a problem when you had incandescents, but it wasn't enough to light them up.

Found a flasher at Autozone. EP34

It's also easier to get the the flasher if you pull the cluster on a 2000-2001, especially if you have big hands like me.

Thanks for sharing that! I'm sure that's easier than ordering online for some.

Also, updated OP to show current reverse light setup.

The key thing is that the flasher is electronic and not load based. I'm sure you can get an electronic flasher at an auto parts store. The reason that the old flashers dont work is that there isn't enough load on the circuit to trip the flash correctly.
