Howdy from Boston! A lot of you probably know me from TheNewX and NEXterra. For those of you who don't, where have you been?

I am an artist, art educator, and welder in Boston MA. I teach welding too, so if anyone is interested...

Still have stock suspension (soon to change, courtesy of your friends and mine at NissTec) and tires (probably next year). Have a few Hefty plates underneath as well as custom White Knuckle sliders, and I'm adding a ton of LED goodies in the coming weeks, including mirror-mount rock lights and an auxiliary brake light bar/CB antenna mount up on the roof rack. Everything else so far is cosmetic (I think I have the most Plasti-Dip on my truck of anyone out there) or a silly sticker. Build thread coming in a little bit, just wanted to say hi first!

I also create Lego Xterras.

Thanks! Not the first time I've discovered a cross-forum fanbase (I also do a lot of scale modeling - it is, pun intended, a pretty small world). I'm eventually create a single thread for all of my Lego X stuff (I have three full-size ones, plus I'm currently developing a miniature version to possibly sell down the line).

Would you by chance start to pursue Xterra models akin to model airplanes, USS Enterprise ships (yes, I am a nerd) and other misc things you paint, build and glue together? I think that would be BA! Then we could individualise our own model with bits like Warhammer 40K models.

I think I just had a nerdgasm. Sorry about that. :erm:

Anyway, welcome to XN. Glad to see you come on over! Cannot wait to see what you come up with next. What kind of art educator are you?

I'd love to at some point. I have zero 3D modeling skills (the program I use to design my Lego models is actually Lego's own software, preloaded with parts) but I do know another Xterra owner with access to a 3D printer, and I know how to cast things in various materials (including metal!). I suppose I could hand sculpt it (and I do miniatures myself) but I'd want it to be super tight. So it could actually happen some day.

I can teach pretty much whatever I'm hired to do, but my specialty is sculpture.
