Well, looks like the move is on. Will be relocating to Denver, CO in aprox 1 month. Do not know much about the area, have not even visited there but will be next week hopefully. Very excited to be moving to what sounds like a awesome town. If anyone has any info they want to share about Denver, by all means let me know. Especially where all the good offroad spots are, good bars, possible jobs in the area, housing areas. Just post it up here. Looking forward to meeting everyone out West and really will miss the people I have already met here in the South.

There's only a couple places in the US I'd prefer to relocate to over Denver. Sounds like the beginning a great adventure. Good luck, and happy wheeling.

Yeah, I have a couple of offers on the table right now so I will definitely have a job but I am also up for any other places people may suggest in the area. :) I am not that crazy to move 1200 miles with no job. haha Also, going to be really exciting come May when tornado season starts. Already making plans for some good chases.

I lived in Colorado in 09.Main thing to remember when driving in denver :make sure your brakes are good!! Rear end collisions are common, people drive to fast going downhill. They drive differently there, just be careful, lol.

Funtreks makes some awesome books for wheeling trails for both N CO and CO in general. I highly suggest you invest in those (they break down trails into easy, med and hard). There is a HUGE gathering of X enthusiasts out there. Probably the biggest in the country. They have their own club and lots of events they go on.

Just out of curiosity, why the reasoning to move to CO? Job offers or other?

Thanks for the info. I just hope they drive as fast as I do. LOL

Awesome man. Are you talking driving into Oklahoma and Kansas for tornados or what?
Yeah, I will be much closer being out there and a lot of storm chasers live in the Denver area so hopefully I can get with a group or something. We will have to see what I can find.

Thats awesome. Thanks for the info. I am just glad to have Xterranation still with me in the travels. Lol. Will be nice to know some people out there. And it is kind of a long story but my room mate is a professor and got a job offer at Denver so she accepted. She asked if I wanted to move with her as well. So, of course I am not going to turn down a once in a lifetime opportunity. Plus, I love the outdoors and from the research I have done, Denver is the place to be for that. Very excited. Have a couple jobs lined up already and just ready to go check everything out. :)

No. No they don't. I was out there a few weeks ago for work and where I'm from, driving 65 will get you run over. Needless to say I was very frustrated with the driving speeds in Denver proper.

I used to live in Littleton for about 10 years. word of advice get a winterpark season pass for the winter whenever you find them on sale that place isn't too far of a drive and it is absolutely awesome. I used to enjoy a season pass every season and go skiing/boarding every weekend in the winter. and now I'm in Kansas. with no mountains. I am super jelly man CO is the place to live

Update: So, as it stands right now, I will not be moving until around October. The house my roommate was looking to purchase just literally got sold to someone else right before she was placing a bid on it. So, her plan is to stay with some friends until she can find a different house. This really sucks for me because while she is gone out West, I will still be here in KY and basically homeless because so far I have found no where to stay for a couple months. Sucks really bad. I really don't want to get stuck in a lease or anything by getting a apartment and if I do then I couldn't move till next year. So, looks like I will be in KY a little while longer. :)

Well hello and goodbye I suppose. I love Kentucky, but I can understand going elsewhere for better opportunities. CO looks to be a great state. Little cold for my taste but a beautiful part of the country.

Haha. Well hello airmapper. Didn't know we had more than just 2 people from BG. And yeah, CO really does seem like the place to be. Just hope everything works out in my favor. If not, I can manage in BG for a little longer. And Aaron, nXm will be a go for me for sure. lol. I may not get to enjoy everything happening but I will make a prolonged appearance.
