Brush guard kill sheet "ANY GEN"

So many of you know Im not a fan of the brush guards on any SUV.

I thought Id create a kill sheet...

awyway on a non-comical note, i can tell you why that happens. when the brush guard is on the truck the two posts that bolt to the frame stick out like on a cop car , when it impacts something the bars take the hit first and bend the upper grille face into the soft front face (grille hood and fenders) on the truck. this happens a lot to police vehicles with the same kind of guard.

I am an convert on this, i wanted one of these at first too, thinking yeah that would help. yeah it will help kill your ground clearance, and really mess things up if youre in a wreck, part of the reason i swapped to an aftermarket bumper.

Thanks for reminding me....I just recently saw an ad for a 2nd gen b'guard for $40 on CL. Thought about picking it up but changed my mind now.

Painful to look at. I do have one on my Xterra. I wonder how well one would hold up from a impact with a deer? My backyard joins the Piedmont National Wildlife refuge. We have deer like you wouldn't believe. I wiped out my Blazer last year when I hit one going to work.

i can tell you how my first one did without one against and a deer and it wasn't pretty... they almost totaled my truck out for because of it.

Weather the deer lives or not, the deer will win. And you'll get a new car and all the venison you can eat.

I guess that's what happens when you use Walmart hardware to bolt on your brush guard, then attach your winch to it, then try to pull yourself out of a stuck mess.
