Hey guys

Had to sign up after I read drbandkgb's Turk & Stan builds. I also fell victim to Hugetankers "don't pull this lever" signature link and I gotta say I love whats going on in this community.

I can't wait to be a part of it.

a bit about my new X:
2004 Xterra SE 4x4, S/C, manual... right now it is painfully stock.

Thanks to everyone for their input into this site and others like it. It was a huge help in resolving some issues:
Knock sensor bypass
Oil overfill / rear-seal leak / clutch chatter
Command start electrical gremlins

Now that all the problems were taken care of I should have been happy right? Something was still wrong though.

I couldn't figure it out until... I read Hugetankers build thread and I realized... It must have been a mod bug... bugger must have got me in my sleep. Since there is no known cure I figure I might as well go with it.

I plan to start my own build thread early next week. :D

1st task... a serious "HP upgrade" and a royal send-off for the stepsides, mudflaps & sway bar.

Love the site guys, Excellent job.

We were originally going to look for a cure of the Mod Bug Syndrome... but we all took a silent vote and well.. NO ONE wants to be cured of something this amazing! :w00t:

Hope you enjoy your stay!

Well, that was a very nice introduction! Thanks for giving it some substance. We're very glad to have new Xers here on XN.

Modous Bugolthopous (scientific name for Mod Bug) has been around for ages and consumes humans of all forms. Good thing you got the Xterra bug and not that 'Jeep Thing' 'cause apparently it itches. :dead: Good luck!

Welcome to the Nation.. Don't worry about the mod bug, we all have it. Don't worry it isn't hazardous to your health, only to your bank account.

BE WARNED: It is very contagious to your other friends.. As they see your rig be built up.. they might start getting symptoms..

Also the mod bug can start to effect other parts of your life. You might fix up your house, your bike, your lawn, your.. well anything.
G'd Luck, If you find a cure for it. Don't tell me.
