It's hard to let go of things that you REALLY wanted. Like my lanterns. I have like 7 or 8 running lanterns and that's after selling a couple that I really didn't use or care for.

On the plus side, power outages don't leave us in the dark or without a stove.

@TerryD - That’s me and flashlights. I’ve got WAY too many. Sick. Sick I tell you.

Bet those lanterns are neat though. I like lanterns. (Uh oh........)
They really are! They're fun to tinker with and get running when you can find them cheap. I've got 4 single mantle and 6 two mantle lanterns right now. All but one run. I also have a single burner stove, small 1970s Sears two burner and two three burner stoves.

Most of them get used, if not camping them just around the house. I'll occasionally set up one of the lanterns and just run it in the shop while I'm working. The hissing sound they make is relaxing on some level. Some of the older stuff has quite a roar to it too!

I've gotten rid of all the crap I don't use anymore and I still have way too much. I need less hobbies
What's really bad is one hobby that requires a lot of stuff [ FISHING ] so you got 3-4 small ultra light rod's for seviki rig's for catching ballyhoo and other live bait fish / then 5-6 med spinning rod's for the 1-20lb fish [ you don't wanna stop to tie on a new hook/jig/bucktail or other lure or liter or fix a line/spool when the fish are biting] / then you got trolling rod's for tuna, dolphin, wahoo, marlin etc etc, but you need to carry 2 different size's of them depending on what size and what fish you've ran across . And a couple deep drop rig's for sail's , sword's and other's who mainly stay down a few hundred feet . I'd start talking lure's -line and bait but were gonna need a bigger boat for that ................:) At least this is Dad's hobby , I just get to enjoy it with him although some time's I think he take's me just to have someone to clean the boat !!! ;)

Likka sto I normally avoid (high prices. This size bottle is usually $26) has a Dallas Cowboys Edition Makers Mark. I bought one to put on the shelf, Ill open it if they ever make it (not win, mind you) to the Super Bowl again.

I expect it will be there forever.
