That's an inside the pocket, right. Does it render the pocket useless for anything else?
Fixed? Not sure but I use my Mora and a SAK.. I'm no whittler tho, just trying to learn. What’s a good fixed blade for whittling? For adult and/or kid. Xancudo?
That would be a good one. The CR2.5 I think would be a little better. You typically want a shorter blade for whittling IMO. And the CR2.5 has a really nice narrow blade profile that lends itself well to precise control. What’s a good fixed blade for whittling? For adult and/or kid. Xancudo?
I love my CR2.5, I use it for everything! In fact, two friends have gotten them since I've gotten one and raved about it.That would be a good one. The CR2.5 I think would be a little better. His stuff is custom, as he wants to make it so you have to just keep going to his shop till something you like pops up but that's the one I have, but in brown with the Mythosaur clip.@TerryD what sheath did you get from Joufuu for the Cudo? Just a 3" blade model? I don't see much selection.. was looking at this one.View attachment 25813

You mind snapping a pic of your Xancudo in the sheath? I wanna see if I'll need to order new scales since there's no lanyard hole. I'm wondering just how much is left to grab onto..
Do you "fit" your sheaths to your knives or let them mold to fit themselves? It's my favorite way to carry a small fixed blade. Both my Xancudo and Izula 2 are in JouFuu ISP sheaths.
I just wear them till they form but with the Xancudo, it got a forced wet form when I was helping set up a birthday party and it started pouring down rain. I was soaked to the core but it produced a really nice fit for the sheath.Do you "fit" your sheaths to your knives or let them mold to fit themselves?
If you want to for e a wet form on a leather sheath. Wrap the knife in Saran Wrap, soak the sheath in water until it stops bubbling , insert knife ( with Saran Wrap) into sheath then place everything into a good save bag and vaccine seal. It will help wet form that leatherDo you "fit" your sheaths to your knives or let them mold to fit themselves?
How long do you leave it in the bag sealed up?If you want to for e a wet form on a leather sheath. I didn't on the CR2.5 or that RB3. But I did on my 7, but it was apart for patina anyways. When you frog lube your carbon steel @TerryD do you take the scales off and hit everything?
I didn't vacuum seal it but that's pretty much what I did with my PR4 sheath on my 4 3d.If you want to for e a wet form on a leather sheath. Wasn’t an issue with mineAn Esee would be a railroad spike in 2days! Haha, I don't think syran wrap would help.
Just got me some FrogLube and that was my thought. Just coat it up sloppy style and then wrap it..If you have any concerns you could apply a descent coat of lube or vaseline before the Saran Wrap
