The only good thing about a site like that being corporate-owned is that there should be accountability for crappy mods that abuse their power. Ironically, the worst of them posted a link to the forum rules, which clearly outlines an infraction points system, and several steps before being banned outright. Of course, they don’t follow that if you piss off Mr Big Shot. If you do get banned, contact Vertical Scope via the contact link at the bottom of the page. Lay everything out for them.

They make you agree to terms of service to join, part of which is agreeing to the forum rules, and part of which is that they get to use and monetize your content; or anything you post. But the flip side of that is that since they have those terms and they’re monetizing that content with ads, if they ban you outright rather than following the infraction system, they’ve defrauded you and stolen your intellectual property contributions, which you only agreed to provide based on the terms as presented.

If that happens to enough people and those people make those complaints to Vertical Scope, they’ll eventually remove the problematic moderator when they see him as an obstacle. Don’t waste your time complaining to the other mods because 1. they won’t listen or do anything (they clearly know what’s happening) and 2. the moderators can and more than likely do read your PMs.

Of course, they could change the terms and conditions at whim and add that they can ban people for any reason, but they would have to make that change prior to banning you or others.

I had to go over and see..... Then.... I left again, once I figured out it was the dumb ass thread about the "offroad floor jack" I just ignored that kid, and haven't seen his stuff for a bit.

Yeah. Dude isn't smart and he's a jackass, but the whole thing isn't being handled properly.
For the record, it was me who got to use his jack at ecxc. What a pain in the ass it was to get in there. But it worked nice once set up

It's a really strange situation. He and his dad were at ECXC. Dad drove the whole time and said something about "when my son is able to drive..."
