Sometimes I just mix Old Bay in the butter or leave it dry on the side !!

And why don't we have a CRAB emoji ????????????????????????????????
This is all the wife's thing. I'm not a crab fan. She mixed up some seasoning in the butter and her and the youngest wiped out the sea bug. The oldest and I enjoyed our bovine slices in peace.

That kind of weather and no power? ufck!

The wife is stuck in Austin. Her girls weekend is shaping up to be a bit longer. Can't get her a flight out until Wednesday.

Yes. I get 2 hours of power every 8-10 hours. I have my 0 degree sleeping bag and my Mr. Buddy heater, and a propane grill. When my two hours roll up, i recharge all my shiat.

Im lucky i have plenty of grill-able meats and propane. i have friends who havent had power since Sunday. I loaned him my generator and a space heater. Hope he does okay. I can stand the cold, but this is getting ufcking ridiculous. besides the fact the cell towers are over loaded since no one has wifi.

im at work today, we have backup gennys and stuff to keep the inclement weather stuff running. i volunteered to drive 30 miles in shiat to be here. Lights and heat!

But who gets the unmentioned bowl of cheese puffs? Looks good....not a crab fan either.

Yep, even Bill Gates admits that wind and solar are not the answer but nuclear is, with wind and solar as additions.

I've got one of those. Chicken nuggets and Mac and cheese 4 lyfe
She won't even eat chicken nuggets... or chicken at all. And only started eating french fries in the last two years. And won't eat hot pizza. She's infuriating at times....

Baja final update. Called last Monday and they were gonna send me the RMA form and told me to return it ASAP. Emailed last Tuesday to say I never got it. Never heard back. Yesterday, I called again and nobody was there. Called again today and finally got through to the same guy who last week said it was likely incorrect hardware. Turns out I have the right hardware, so I ask if he can verify the Amazon seller I bought from was an authorized dealer, and he said he couldn't. I asked if there's a way to verify the authenticity of the light, because it was be a massive coincidence that two different pairs with different dates on them had incorrect threading in the housing. He said nope. He said he'd send the RMA form.

I called Amazon and explained everything to them, and told them normally I'd just return as defective, but in this case I had painted the brackets and cut up the two wiring harnesses, and thrown away parts of it I ended up not needing. They said that was all fine, they'd make a note, and I can return for a full refund, so that's the easy choice. The replacements I buy certainly won't be from Baja Designs. What a massive pain in the butt.

Glad to hear that Amazon is taking them back for a full refund

Can somebody help me find something I'm looking for? I'm looking for what I believe is called a "z-bracket" like pictured below, but steel so I can paint it black to match the roof rack. I'm looking for a rise of about an inch, and this is to get rear lights up and farther back to not get so cut off by the rear hatch. I was hoping to avoid having to get something custom fabd.

Your local Unistrut supplier doesn't have any? Granted, the P4045 is 7/8 rise but I bet Unistrut makes a 1in rise piece.

Maybe Lowes or Home Depot would have something in the Electrical dept.

These brackets are seriously beefy and IMO overkill for a light mount, but you might find something at the link that would work. I wish you could get them with a smaller hole but they're predrilled with a 9/16".

Ya know..... a piece of 1x1/8 angle aluminum, or even 1 1/2x1/8 angle aluminum, a few rivets and make your own. Another thought is search your area for metal suppliers and see if they have Z bars.

OH!!!.... A local sign manufacturer, not vinyl signs but electrical signs. They make the housings and have all kinds of metal stuff. You might even be able to score a couple of scrap pieces for free.

These are aluminium, but you can still paint them

They started finishing the drywall today. I took a minute and fixed the wiring for the front porch light after work and dropped my HF wires for the impending ice storm.

Watching The Witcher and waiting on chicken tenders to bake while I drink my last beer.

Remember: We have no idea how to drive in this stuff. You'll be fine until south of DFW, then it gets really icy

Hearing your getting this storm too.. If your gonna get Dam ICE Drop wires what you can.. and Prep your Generator, and extra fuel. Space heater etc.

Now, have to fill up my Two Swiss Jerry cans back up with Pure gas. Hoping stations have power again.. Or gonna be short drive ;-)

HF is still down.. Can hear.. But not risk to transmit..
Least beer stayed cold! that was a good thing.. no beer spoilage. ;-)

Both gas cans full, plenty of propane, and already test fired both generators this season. Need to sell the small generator but "2 is 1, 1 is none" is what keeps me from doing that just yet.....

Still had power so I went on in to work. Different reports from different parts of the county. I had ice covered in snow and it was actively sleeting. Pretty easy drive to work. Played in 2wd with the locker on a bit.

Now to see how the day plays out. Already told my boss not to call me unless the boiler is gonna blow, and if the boiler is gonna blow, don't expect me to show up.....
