Also, my hood and hatch were bedlined prior, so it gives it an odd texture, different from the main body, but i'll post up some more pics for ya.
Still digging the 1.25 look. And 33s are the right size for all 1st gens.
Why remove hitch? Rear extraction point?
Well yeah, I modded up a hook on to the frame rail because I didn't have a hitch. But it doesn't seem logical to discard one extraction point to rig up another.
It's logical to me. My hitch was shot. (Even if it wasnt shot I would have removed it, it truly weights a ton) I recently helped a friend of mine move, and I hooked up a trailer and loaded it up with some of his stuff. There is no way the trailed weighed more than a ton, but it bent the hitch. I wouldnt want that to be my rear recovery point if I was really stuck. So, I torched it off, and I rigged up some temp recovery point till I can throw on the bumper im making. I was planning on doing the hitch flip, but with it being bent, and me wanting a custom bumper, decided to just toss it in the discarded X parts pile.
Beginning of custom bumper tonight. Also ordered my Warn hubs, hilift and some stickers. All that should be here around wednesday. Thank gobble for credit cards..
Which part are you talking about? If you're talking about the plastic front piece im going to take that off, and cover up the exposed area with some lights.
Yeah I was talking about the plastic grill, and personally I would leave the grill on there because on the true 1.0 gens, that grill is also the headlight surrounds. I like where you are heading with it, however I believe that if you pulled it off it would look like you wrecked your truck and then were just too lazy to fix it "properly".
That is merely an opinion on the internet so take it with grains of salt and know that it is only worth some copper circles.. If you do decided to go through with it, I would like to see how it comes out.. well I will see it at NXM.. so I guess I have to see what you do with it.
I like where this is heading. Did you have issues with your old hubs or did you just decide to yank them and run manual locking ones?
Now that you have expressed a liking for Mumford and Sons you are now even more of a bro. Well done sir.
Build looks great though (kinda goes without saying)
