Thanks to DRB (and a trip to the ATM), I'm street legal again.

Also, there is now a Secret Mod taking shape. I've had a brilliant idea recently, and it will come to fruition as long as the weather cooperates. Also be looking for a fishing rod holder in the next week or two.

Did a little storm chasing today...this pic was taken about 10 minutes after the wall cloud ascended back into the storm.

Dear Nis.

That picture is intense.

And I guess the funnel cloud taking shape is cool, too ;)

Carry on,
Jack Stilts

Thanks. It wasn't quite a funnel at this point. The funnel had already gone back up way before I reached the wall cloud. But it WAS rotating, just not coming down.

The burger on the rear hatch was a PITA. The front was easy, but for some reason the hatch just didn't want to cooperate. If I do it again, I'm putting 5x7 index cards behind them, make it easier to clean up the overspray.

When I did mine I just taped a square around mine and just hosed the square with plastidip. My xterra letters were the worst. I've found a toothpick works the best to pick away until you can grab it with tweezers.

You're both crazy. I did mine with some painters tape, newspapers, sandpaper, and some flat black spray paint.

No muss, no fuss.... Blacked out badges.

Toothpicks? For what?

Did you get it cleaned up yet? That's what I've been doing for that last two hours.

Yeah, finally...it's not ready for wax yet, but I did pressure wash all the mud off of it and hit it with a quick soap bath. I'll run it by Smith Bros Car Wash later this week, then bring it home and wax it. I've got a few pin stripes on the passenger side I want to get rid of.

I added a few new pin stripes on my passenger side too. Mostly the front fender. I have no idea where that happened.

I was avoiding sharp edged rocks on the driver side...I'd rather take out a sapling than cut a tire.

Update to the build- just put an order into 4x4parts.com for UCAs...this is happening, y'all.

Calmini sliders ordered from 4WheelParts. Cut me one hell of a deal, so I couldn't pass them up.

Picked up a HiLift, some quick fists, and a recovery hitch with clevis on it. I need to bed line the roof rack before mounting it, so that will come this weekend...or Thursday, if I manage to be off for the holiday.

Body Lift and IAB is still pending DRB having a free day to help me.

LED floods are also waiting to be mounted and wired, but I need to pick up a fuse box before so I can run my CB through it as well.

I think that's all the parts/mods I have for now, until the UCAs get here, but even then I don't know that I'll get them out of layaway before nXm. I can do without the lift, so sliders are priority now.

This reminds me of a guy who asked me why I had sliders, a bumper and snorkel on a truck that wasn't "all jacked up with huge tires." I told him if it was all jacked up with huge tires I wouldn't NEED the armor and snorkel so much.

Well, I like rocks, and I'd like to climb some while at Coal Creek. I don't think 1.5" of additional lift up front are going to make that much of a difference as it sits now, hence the slider priority.

Last year I ran with a PML and BL with sliders and on 22 I literally HAD to try to hit them on a rock. I just wanted to try them out..

That makes me feel a little bit better, but I'd still like to have them for added insurance. LoL you don't understand my luck.

Every once and a while I will strandle somthing to see if it will hit the skids or something on the underside. But I have used my sliders more then any other armor.

I get this all the time -__-

Nis, you have a lot of work ahead of you.

Looking forward to seeing it all :)

Re-painted Calmini IAB. Note, Krylon True Blue is DEAD ON for a match.

BUT BUT BUT BUT.....the weak piont in the steering!!! it wont work right unless its on!!! you monster!!!

all kidding a side. i take it as that is the next thing on your to-do list?

Hahaha yeah, that's why I've got it. I would've put it on today if I'd had a socket big enough, and I didn't feel like driving to my dad's (4mi up the road) to go get his. I may do it tomorrow anyway. LoL.

While you're under there, you could get that rear differential breather mod done...

Just...sayin' :hihi:

This has been a reminder from your friendly neighborhood Spiderman.

I'll put that on the list for next weekend. I thought the IAB install was more "complex" than it actually is, so having another project to do will be awesome. Gonna try to mount my HiLift next weekend, too. Just hope it doesn't effing rain so I can bed line the rack before I put it up there!

I like that :) mods, mods, mods.

I have Hi-Lift mounts that I won't need anymore...if you already have some, carry on; if not - PM me. You saying "Hi-Lift" reminded me that I can get rid of those.
