Hey, I had a "wife" who wouldn't let me dream big. I barely got a PML and 32s out of her!

Mine is slowly releasing her grip. As long as I show her I'm saving for "other" things, aka- future family. I'm good to go, lol.

Sent through an exorcism and salt flavored shotgun shells.

Your lights looked pretty terrible! Much better now. When are you going to paint the headlight bezels? :)

I would have loved to while I had them off today, but the humidity is ridiculous right now at 90%. I need to repaint ALL the plastics.

Much better!

Gracias! Finally showed the X some much-needed love.

I need to start looking into fixing the AC and the headliner. The HL has fallen completely and is only being held up by the interior light fixtures, and I'm getting real sick and tired of not having air conditioning. This is Tennessee, and it's hot as bawls.

Updated Things to Do:

Repaint plastics
Buy 2" BL hardware and sell 1" hardware
Install BL
Air Conditioner
Headliner
UCA install
Buy AAL/install
Do something with the gallon of Monstaliner sitting in my kitchen
Install LEDs
Wash seat covers
Rear diff breather Mod
Start saving for timing belt change (hit 185k today officially, been there for a while given tire size)

Some of that stuff is super easy. Like the buy / sell BL and washing the seat covers. Go go go!

See: motivation.

I would also like help with some of this. Oh, and I need monies for an alignment and AAL so I can finish the SL.

The new girlfriend likes to paint, and is actually really good at it, so she'll be useful with the plastics.

Oh, and I need to figure out how to get that screw back in the valve cover.

3 month bump.

Minor updates...

I've had the SES on for a month now. Small and Gross EVAP. Checked all the vacuum lines, they were fine. Checked the gasket around the fuel pump and sure enough, it bubbled. Replaced the FSU O-ring (2 days ago) and I've driven 200mi and the light still hasn't reset itself yet, so I'm a bit concerned about that.

The passenger valve cover gasket that I replaced less than a year ago never fixed the leak. I also now have a leaking driver's side gasket.

I now have a set of Victor Reinz VC gaskets (with new grommets). I would love to buy new screws too, but they are $60 through Courtesy. Hoping to find them cheaper locally.

I also have an intake manifold spacer. Since the intake has to come off to fix the driver side VC gasket, I'm going to put a spacer on.

If anyone with a torque wrench would like to come help, I'll definitely need it. The intake and the valve covers need torqued properly so I don't have to do this again.

Check the valve covers for flatness on a flat surface before reinstalling. If they aren't flat enough, they'll leak anyways and the new gasket and labor will be worthless. Also, remember to torque from the center going out. Good call on the torque wrench. This is one of the areas on a vehicle that the torque is extremely important.

I tried to shoot you a text a few weeks ago when you first said you needed to borrow a torque wrench, but I guess you changed numbers? Harbor Freight has a pretty good one for $10 when they go on sale (which seems like every other month). We determined its maybe a pound off a Kobalt equivalent.

I'd you're dead set on OEM screws, the dealer usually has reasonable prices on that small stuff.

But as Deeb said, you should be able to do it with Home Depot screws. Personally, I'd get something hex head instead of Phillips. Maybe stage8.com has something locking that will work just to keep the pressure on.

My number hasn't changed in 10 years lol. I was going to text you just now, but I don't have your number in my S5...

No, I'm not set on OEM. I'd love a Hex head. Those Phillips screws are dumb. We have a Fastenal here in town, surely to goodness they'll have some.
