Well, got the Xterra back on it's tires today. Took it for a test drive and found out the passenger side axle is bent. I guess when they dropped it on the axle with no wheels they wrecked it. I was suspicious with how badly beaten that side was and the fact the rotor was missing.

Oh well, now to source a new shaft.

Otherwise, holy crap what a change in power. I can spin the back tires pretty easily now and it's a big change in how it runs out. Once I get both back tires running true I'll be interested to see how it does.

This gives me time to get the locker working now. It's back on stands and I need to start looking at running a 2nd power feed into the cabin and a fuse panel to carry the locker. I may get started on that tomorrow. I have a 4 circuit and a 6 circuit Blue Sea panel I can use. I'll have to source some power feed wire I guess and probably order a 2nd circuit breaker to feed the whole panel.

Mrs has never liked the taste of our water, we both have cpap machines, and we have a fish tank. We had trouble finding distilled water the past several weeks, and it's inconvenient trying to keep a couple gallons on hand. Less of an economic decision and more of a convenience one.

It just depends how you approach it, if you get trail baloney and venison sticks made I found that was the best way to introduce people to venison. Another this is to have it ground up and have beef fat mixed in will help mask the tast then use it in dishes. The last deer I got I had brats, kielbasas made then ground most of the rest of it keeping the back strap and some steaks for myself. If she will eat bison then you should be able to get her to eat deer. If all else fails if they get hungry enough they will eat anything.

I grind most of my venison and mix it with fatty ground beef. Maybe 2/3rds venison 1/3 beef.

I also do butterflies and keep some stew meat for soup and pulled bbq venison.
This is totally how to get them to enjoy it. Have your processor mix beef or pork into it.
It's 5am and I'm craving a triburger now.. Venison, beef, hot pork breakfast sausage, mmm
