She won't turn in her practice logs and she ran out of reeds and WON'T TELL US SO WE CAN ORDER MORE.....
I lost it. I mean I absolutely lost it on her this evening. I had to come back and apologize for how I was speaking to her after I calmed down but livid is mildly describing it. I'm gonna have to sit on her damn head every night till we make some progress on this shiat.
Oh just wait for the joys of the overly intelligent ones to get bored and then just ignore the teachers....
I've got 2 and I'm only finally getting the last one out the house in a few weeks.... (27 and 28)
The boy is off the charts intelligent(189) but just doesn't perform academically. I think the reason for that was him pointing out to his prof at uni that his published work was incorrect...… He then proceeded to get bored again as he'd already read all the course work and moved on to more complex work within the first month and started presenting problems that were beyond his tutors abilities. Talking to him is a serious mental exercise. There are very few subjects he's not up to scratch on. Watching him question medical doctors is always fun.... He diagnosed himself with diabetes type 1 from his own symptoms....
It's been the same story since he started school. First parents evening, the teachers love him. He's quiet, respectful, an absolute delight. A few months down the line we getting called in because he's now moved on to correcting the teachers. This child of ours doesn't forget a thing.... Not eidetic but can be annoying.
His sister is always working her hardest and does really well, but like the rest of us mere mortals, simply inferior to the boy.....
Now you work out who's only just getting set to move out the house.... That's only due to us deciding to get a new beachfront home that's one bedroom....
