Worked on my Pistol caliber carbine tonight. Been having failure to fires. No primer strikes on any of the 60 rounds I attempted to fire over the last week. Turned out that the firing pin was a bit Claire’s out at the base but still with in length specs. Hope the bit of reproducing works out.

Just right pistol caliber carbine in .40 S&W. the spring is good the the tail end of the floating firing pin was jammed in the firing pin keeper and didn’t float anymore.

.40 is one of my favorite calibers. My HK USPc is chambered in .40 S&W. Has LEM trigger. Absolutely 100% my favorite handgun to shoot.

Then got a call from a buddy who had a member of the group he was with waste a drive shaft then a TRE. I picked up songs TREs from Advance Auto then ran them out to them on the trail.
Made it home right at midnight. Ready to relax a bit then hit the hay...

I don't think Va is that bad. Insurance is reasonable, CCW isn't a chore to get, plenty of National Forest and state parks. Except for NOVA I'm plenty happy here.
Wasn't too bad tonight, only 95 at first pitch with a few gusts. Looking forward to the new domed park next year.

I have the same pistol. On day one I put a hole through the headboard of my bed trying to decock it by grabbing the hammer. 1st and hopefully the only neglegent discharge I've ever had.. There's a reason they engineered a decocker on the frame.. /facepalm
