BTW. That dude's TubeFace channel is really good. Go watch some of his documentaries. He's late genX like some of us. So he gets a lot of the same comedy.
I miss when CL was great. I fkkin hate FB sales.Haggling with people on Craigslist is fun.

Pirate frog?
Wait. New came with damage and the seller offered to fix it instead of replace it?XN is loading like the server is running on dialup.
In other news, my new kayak came with a couple deep gouges including one that went through the hull (above the water line). Backcountry offered to pay for repairs, or said they’d cover the cost of buying my own supplies and repairing myself. Picked up a plastic welder today (plugs into the wall socket and the other end to an air compressor) and actually managed to do a proper repair to it. And now I can use it to hopefully fix broken trim pieces and other similar things.
Yeah.... That's some bullshiat. I'd be filing a charge back with the credit card company for charging full price for a defective item, and refusing to replace it.Wait. New came with damage and the seller offered to fix it instead of replace it?
Right? That's pretty much all bullshiat.Yeah.... That's some bullshiat. I'd be filing a charge back with the credit card company for charging full price for a defective item, and refusing to replace it.
Or something to that effect.

They did offer a full refund/return. They couldn’t replace it because it was the last one they had. I wanted this specific model of kayak and it was either the one I got or driving to Connecticut to get one from a dealer there for a higher price.Yeah.... That's some bullshiat. Lemme know what all was involved in the "melt mod" to fix it if/when you do. I've got a buddy who has a .45 caliber size hole in his from top to bottom. funny story..They did offer a full refund/return. They couldn’t replace it because it was the last one they had. I don't wanna talk about it@Prime how bout them Cubbies?!
It was actually pretty simple. Only thing I needed to know was the melting point of that material (~350° for HDPE) and have the same material to patch it with. Mine were small enough I took shavings from the inside to melt down to a little stick. Then keeping the heat moving around, waiting until it starts to turn shiny, then it’s right at the melting point and you can press in the new material and melt it together. Obviously it should be clean first. Most of the YouTube videos were of the soldering iron type welder, but there a few of the air type.Lemme know what all was involved in the "melt mod" to fix it if/when you do. Yea, we were thinking about putting a bolt or a boat plug in the bottom one or some plastic jb welb from autozoner..It was actually pretty simple.
