it is a top spot on my ww2 places to visit on my bucket list.

i was listening to a book about it at work tonight, just refresh myself on the events leading up to the attack. its a damn shame that we knew that "something" was gonna pop off with Japan but then keep focus on what was going on in Europe. hell even brass in Japan knew this might not be the best idea. i wonder what direction the Pacific campaign would have went had the carriers had been there like the Japanese wanted. those were the main targets.

to quote an American airman in the battle at midway- "Arizona, i remember you."
I have read, and studied and re-read everything I could get my hands on regarding the battle at Midway. Easily one the greatest displays of American resilience during the war. I haven't studied all aspects of WW2, but I am big into the naval battles.

Thanks. We're all vaccinated. So it shouldn't be too bad. The doctor did say that the vaccine was the only reason my dad was still alive. Apparently the viral load was off the charts.
That's scary. I hope he comes out OK.

I will say when I tested positive, I was very glad I was vaxed, and only had some stomach issues. Hopefully your dad's in the same boat.

My booster shot was considerably more unpleasant.

Do you even still have a Nissan, or did you completely jump ship?

No judgements, just curious.
Nope. Still have it. Built as far as I want to take it. Sold my Titan swap parts to @Prime

In all honesty, have been talking with wife / thinking of trading it but haven't done so yet. It's coming up on ten years old and nickle / dimeing me. Fully regret the headlight swap at this point.

While ships like Yorktown, Enterprise, Essex and Ticonderoga were all brutally attacked, thought dead, only to be patched together to continue the fight.

Imagine thinking you sunk the Enterprise, bragging to everyone about it, and then she appears on the horizon again, beat up but kicking the shiat out of you. Repeat. Three times.

Why the Enterprise wasnt made into a museum I will never know.

Is this Pearl Harbor talk or Star Trek talk? I'm so confused.

Imma assume you are being sarcastic. Hahha

WW2/Pearl Harbor talk.

Although, the Enterprise from Star Trek AND Enterprise the car rental company are both named after the USS Enterprise, the ship.

Because it was one of the baddest ass, most fightingist ship in all of history. (Enterprise car company owner served on the ship too)
