Nope. Way too high as it is.

Thats why we have a low cabinet for our sound bar and other electronics. I need to re-measure, but we hung our TV mount so it sits 67” to center for a 70” tv. So the 55” we have on there now is a wee bit too high, but it isn’t bad. Our couch is like 12’ from the TV anyway.

Wait, I’m derping right now. My original notes were 67”. My scribble behind our TV shows centerline for viewing height from our couch.

Electric fireplace makes the wife happy but man I miss an actual good wood stove / fireplace. Had one growing up, both sets of grandparents had one. Next house is definitely going to have one.

When I was really young, living in the Pacific NW, my dad and I would go up and cut logs that the loggers left behind and season them. I remember years of chopping, stacking, chopping, stacking, rinse, repeat…

Whenever I get nostalgic about how great it would be to have a wood burning stove again, I think back to all the blisters, pitch, and splinters, and then I come to my senses.

Splitting / chopping / stacking never bothered me. Cleared my head and it's all I would focus on. Enjoyed it for that.
