I appreciate the few who knew about keeping the ending to last Sunday's run quite but it's time now . :(
While coming down to the end of the trail on sun I decided for some unknown reason it would be kinda fun to actually jump off one of the rock [ shelf ledge's] in Odo . Well obviously it was one of the stupidest mistake's I've made in my life . I bounced so hard my foot came off the brake , might have even slid onto the gas . I honestly don't know as it happened so fast I couldn't regain control .

110% MY FAULT................................

I'd like to apologize to everyone who was out there for putting such a shiatTY ending to an other wise great day of just wheeling thru the wood's . I'd also like to say thank's to everyone that was there for sticking around until we got the situation resolved and for the help as I was in kind of a funk/haze . That kind of comradery [?] is what I like about XN and everyone I've met and wheeled thru here and those I have just conversed with on here.

I've wrecked a few vehicle's in my day be it Alcohol or speeding or playing on snow and ice covered road's ; [ which for the record the winter weather account's for more then the first 2 option's ] Just don't ask for the Tally# .

I'm hoping Odo is fixable but i'm not holding my breath. Still working out getting him home . Of all the vehicle's I've owned this was like a punch in the gut and the blame lies solely on me . A very expensive lesson learned and hopefully NO more momentary lapse's in judgement.

I'll post when I know more .IMG_2225.jpgIMG_2226.jpg

Nice! I looked at the underside on one and yeah. Looks real familiar. 4wd this time?

Just finished my Titan swap. Things are good.
After the rain let up I finally really got under there. On the plus side, it has an M226 diff in it. Surprised since this is 2WD and Auto. Maybe the increase in HP necessitated it? On the downside, there are not many other improvements. Still Bilstein 4600 shocks, etc. Overall I am very happy with the truck.

Ouch. That is most unfortunate. Also glad you're ok. Honestly, that looks like a total in insurance's eyes, but as long as the frame isn't bent, I say rebuild it. But, that's me.

@TheCrabby1 like everybody else said, the important part is you’re okay. And no apologies for having to stay out longer. That’s always a possibility with any off-roading trip. A regular mechanical breakdown on the middle of the trail would’ve potentially been even longer. If anybody absolutely had to leave they could’ve. Technically we bailed early once we got confirmation the tow truck was hooked up. I am gonna try and do runs on Saturdays vs Sundays now though if I have the kid with me. That way we can just pop the tent and stay instead of being up to near midnight on a school night.

Jesus Eddie be careful man! Glad to hear that only your ego was injured on you. Hoping for the best for Odo. If not the great thing about vehicles is you can replace them much easier that people or dogs. You can also name the next one Odo and no one will care. Good luck man and stay safe

Well. Last day of work for the week. Got to love 4 day work weeks. Sucks that my day is starting out with a uniform inspection. Oh well. At least i am the one inspecting the troops
Morning started nice except having to get two weeks worth of trash out to the road in the dark. Then Hardee's screwed up my order and I got a bacon egg and cheese instead of my steak biscuit. I hate eggs.

At least today is my Friday. Wife is out of town again. I think we're gonna thrash on the Frankenbike to get it rideable and go out for a ride Saturday. That should be a nice fun day out and get my mind into a better place.

OUCH!!! Right tire Does that? Ouch... Glad your able to walk away...

Air bag Deploy?.
No the air bag's didn't deploy . I was trying to steer to the right but was sliding with the brake's locked up . The tree caught the bumper where it start's angling back so it pushed the bumper in and went behind the tire snapping the tye-rod connection right off the knuckle . Not sure about the axle but pretty sure everything on that side is bent/broke . Will put a lazer on that side of the frame while it's on Jeff's trailer Sunday and have him inspect closer. My neighbor's 01 ranger got totaled by ins company because a lady bent his rear bumper downward said it wasn't worth the $900 to fix it. If they total Odo , it's probably only worth $3500-$4500 and there goes' the stuff on it and I'm sure my rate's will go up. Thinking about just taking everything and I mean EVERYTHING off I put on and that would save around $4000 toward's mod's on another or selling everything and starting from scratch again . Give it more thought on Sunday when he come's home.
