Lets find out a price tag and power specs first.

Sent from my mansion in Grouchland.

From another article.. "The ZEOD RC's new 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder Nissan DIG-T R engine can produce up to 400 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque at 7,500 rpm, but weighs in at just 88 lbs."

As for price... You probably don't even wanna know haha

I bet the power is really, really peaky, though. Like, it might make 400hp only at 8k RPMs, but almost no power at all under 6500 RPMs. That sort of power plant works great on a race track with a transmission to match, so it can always be singing along in its very narrow powerband. This engine in particular is also part of a hybrid system, so when the fuel engine falls off the boost, the electric motors can make up for it. But it would be a terrible engine in a car. Maybe, just maybe, it could be livable with a CVT, but CVTs are awful, horrible things. Better to have a bigger displacement engine with a broader power and torque curve in an everyday road car.

That's very true. Good points.

I know the ins and outs of how a CVT works...

Someone explain why CVT's are so horrible?

I don't know how strong or reliable they are, so I can't speak of that.

I do feel like they take the "driving" out of driving. Even with an automatic transmission you get to hear and feel the different RPM's and transmission shifts. CVT's take that right out of the equation.
