Rock plus windsheild is bad

So thanks to a semi truck I gotta get a new wind shield. I wasn't even driving behind this gravel truck I was in the lane next to him passing by and rock come flying hits my wind shield and not just make the chip it cracked from the edge and turns up and goes up the it. And now I'm hoping that they get with that truck company and I can get paid back the money I have to shell out for a new cause I can't drive from san Diego to Yuma with it cause it will just get worse.

Deadpilot, what about you insurance? Do they cover it?

They won't cover it cause it cost less then my deductible. So I have to wait to see if they will pay me back

Here in FL it's considered safety equipment and is covered fully by the insurance no matter what the deductible is.

I wouldn't have any issues if I did it off roading cause that is expected but nope it was on the freeway

Two months ago I replaced mine, a week later, rock chip smack dab in the middle. Looks like a tiny bullet hole. I never cursed so loud at something do small before. I think I scared the family of Christians starring at me in the next lane...

Yea I know what you mean. I wasn't happy and cursing so much. And the damn truck driver didnt even look over at me when I was trying to get him to pull over. So thinking he knew.

Two of our group took good hits/breaks yesterday on an all day run we were on.
Both will need replaced......

Happens all the time in NM where tons of vehicles w/out flaps or cover of any kind combine with crappy roads. I try to wait as long as I can. Three different cracks currently...

If I get one, l'll not get another until I change the windshield out.
Then another good chip or crack within the month, guaranteed.

Wow dude, that really is crap. Really crazy that your insurance wont do anything about it. In KY, no deductible. I had my windshield replaced 3 times within 6 months when I had my Cobalt SS... Women + Baseball bat + Windshield = no good....

Yeah my insurance didn't cover it either. 500 deductible and it cost 200

So with some digging around I got in touch with the company and sent them the bill and all the info. They will see if that truck was in that area at that time and pay me back in full! How awesome will that be?
