I'm not going to bother. Going to order a bucktooth grill and paint that.Very clean so far. Need to get to stealthing those plastics on the grill
1st gen doesn't have any! Heh.Sweet man. I've got soldering skills but never actually took the time to dot my LEDs properly but now I am a little inspired. Lol

That's exactly how I was going to redo my 1st gen climate controls. Run the strip all the way around and shine it inward. I built a test kit like that and it did a brilliant job of lighting the controls. No but the bulbs in the AC unit are super small and suck balls so I ripped them out and just ran a strip of LEDs in there and ran the power down to my cigarette lighter. I need to redo it and solder it all up properly though.

I tried to break my lower shock bolts loose tonight. I had a 20-ton bottle jack under a breaker bar.
When I jacked up the breaker bar it lifted the gobbledamn truck off the ground.
My shock bolts are so tight/rust welded that the weight of the truck couldn't break them loose. Ufck it. Getting the cutoff tool out in the morning. Say goodbye to those annoying ufcks.
I've cut the head off of the drivers side. Drove the rest out. The passenger side moves with the jack but it'll be a while before I can get it all the way out.If you haven't already taken care of your lower shock bolts, heat, a 6 point socket, 1/2" breaker bar, and a 6' pipe does the trick. They put those suckers on tight from the factory.
I usually have it in the center console box when not in use.I was thinking about putting the mic there. But it's so gaudy I really don't want to look at it. Heh.
I got mine there as well I can hear it pretty good and I can't hearSame place I have my cb. I used a big pad of Velcro to hold it in place because I lost the mounting bracket.
CB mic bracket is 3m taped to dash. Been holding strong for 2 years. You can see my external speaker mounted in the bottom right of the pic

Why do you think I was out there doing it at midnight? And it was still pretty damn hot.I need to install my new cb but I need a day where it's not hot as crap since I believe we ran the power wires to the blue sea box...which means I need to remove half the damn dash again.
