Power issues

Back ground: 2004 with 119*** miles, daily driven, 4wheeled, and regularly maintained.
Recently went 4wheeling and a couple hundred miles later started running into issues. First just had one random sputter in the RPMS and loss of power while idling in D. Shifted into N then back to D and had no problems for 50 mile drive home. The next time I drove it, the speedo stopped working. Hitting the dash fixed it of course. On the same drive, while driving, same sputter in the RPMS and loss of power. Shifted into N and back to D, problem went away. Currently, still having speedo issues and more than likely more sputtering. Check all the fuses and onced over everything. Any recommendations?

You could have loose ground straps for the dash/under the hood, etc.

My 2000 started losing power one day last year, and I watched the RPM drop and jump up numerous time, it never went away though. Mine was a Distributor problem. Good luck with yours - I would definitely look for the ground problem to.

Update:

Scanned for codes, knock sensor only (N/A motor equals not likely any problems).
Check and cleaned engine grounds.
Cleaned mass air flow and misc under the hood.
Ran higher octane and cleaner (possibly picked up a bad tank of gas in Harrisburg).
Speedo was unrelated and a loose plugin under the dash seemed to be the fix.

All in all, no more issues. Thanks for the help guys!
