apparently she forgot about it.....

or, she realized how big of a PITA it's gonna be to do a custom headliner on this.

I thought she'd posted that this was on the back burner because she was buying a house and had a lot of expenses and time being devoted to that. Also, I believe things are busy at work and adding to the time and energy consumption part of it. If I remember correctly, but I know there's always time for pink bedliner ;)

Mac hit the nail on the head.

However I have been shopping for fabric. I just haven't found anything I really like. I have been thinking of just removing the old fabric and glue then getting some spray paint and doing a hot pink/black/white or silver camo. Also painting the grey trim pieces all black.

We'll see. Hopefully I can tackle this soon. I don't have a free weekend between now and July 27th.

LoL. I kinda don't want to waste the expensive monstaliner on the head liner.

Hyde- I do like that pattern but not in digi-camo.

If I do go ahead and paint the headliner I think i will paint it white first but with a paint with some sort of sand in it so that its textured.

And No.. I would not mind being Hot Pink at all!

bedlining the roof = way more noise coming through the vehicle, way more pain if you actually hit the roof for something, and your X will stink horrifically for at least a month.

and, in Dani's case, drops of pink bedliner in her hair which would be BAAAAAAD cause it'd mean she'd be cutting chunks of her hair out to get rid of it....

if you'd rather have the regular pink camo (non-digi) I'll find that for you momentarily....

Well I cut the majority of my hair of yesterday so there's a bonus.
The noise doesn't bother me.. I had a jeep with no rugs so im used to the noise. However i could work out something to wear i can put some bedding under the headliner board to muffle the sound some.

The smell would get annoying though.

the noise I was talking about was if you removed the headliner completely....

and yeah, the little bit of bedlining I did in the back of the vehicle stunk for almost a month, gave me headaches for the first couple days even.

When I sprayed Rustoleum bedliner in the back.. It cleared up after a few days, like 48 hours..

Sent from somewhere by something

See although i do like some of those fabrics none of them have the exact color i'm looking for. :-( Plus i need something that is more than 52" wide i believe it was. (id have to remeasure to be sure) I need it to be wide enough to not have to make a seam in the fabric.

I think a pair of seams running the length of the roof would look sweet, as long as they had a decent stitch (like a baseball stitch) and the seams were straight and perfectly centered. Hell, a solid black or black and white houndstooth fabric with a bright pink thread used for the stitch would look cool as hell. Or better yet, black alcantara with a pink stitch. You'd just need to find someone with a good sewing machine and the skills to make a perfectly straight seam. Granted, the baseball type stitch would have to be done by hand, but the machine seam would be a straight line to follow.

see I was at the same point, worrying about the seams....then I decided to figure out the length I'd need to run a seam side to side right at the back of the drivers seats, and another at the back of the back seats, and possibly one more if I absolutely had to....or, even go in and measure the length of the headliner and come up with a nice measurement that creates a decent number of seams side to side, that way the seams actually accent the setup, maybe make a set of extra dim red LEDs that run through the seam so that when I turn it on there's a **LITTLE** interior light so you can find something on the floor or something without blinding yourself

Don't paint it white. It's blinding when driving. I'm not sure how bad it will reflect with the inside of the truck being darker... but trust me. I had an ALL WHITE Pontiac Sunbird and hated it. Practically went blind while driving in the sun.

i can totally see a seam or two running lengthwise from front to back. You can use pretty much ANY width of fabric and it can be made as an accent to the pattern. sweeeeeeeeet.

does your local walmart still have a sewing section? if so, go there and talk to the old ladies there. At mine, that seems like a hangout for them. see if they can help you out. probably be pretty cheap and you can get crazy custom stuff done. plus old ladies are great, they might even make you cookies!

Well folks..... it's FINALLY done!

All that is left is to redo my visors and paint all the plastics black. (hopefully come spring as I have no where warm to do it and it's freaking freezing outside)

Wow. That is definitely unique. I don't know how I'd like something that bright (and it may just be the way it reflects the camera flash) overhead. But I am happy that you're happy with it. It's touches like that that really make a vehicle your own.
