I've seen some discussion about mounting points of sliders on 2nd gen trucks. There are a few different methods from various companies and this is ours. We go a step farther than just shoving a bolt into the through holes. For the front and middle mounts we use a high strength steel pin to sleeve the frame. The pin is thicker than the DOM tubing used for the top rails and it is welded to our backing plate.
We then use a 5/8" grade 8 bolt to make the connection.
Our rear mounts utilize 2 factory threaded holes in the frame. For us this is a very solid connection process.
