You're killing me dude...don't have the cash right this second. Now if he comes down to $2500...

Also, looks like he's not including the longer halfshafts, which is another 500 bucks.

Finally, as a mod, it's my duty to tell you we're not supposed to post up links to other forums...

It does look a good deal tho, even tho AC has dropped its price and included more stuff in its pkg, too

Woops. You have to buy from ORPP since you're a mod. :D

I will def. buy from ORPP when practicable, and I'm going to start spending money with them (headers, as soon as they're ready) but good used deals are good used deals...I'm seriously looking at this now. Couple questions I need answered, i.e. does he include the longer axles, are his heims the longer ones or the same ones I have with my king kong steering...but it's gotten down into the hard to turn my back on it price range for sure

I've had reasonably good experiences with AC, but they killed me on shipping the last couple of times, and then sent me stuff from Utah, very close by.

I'm glad Danny is making the effort here - it's nice to buy from someone who cares about your rig and what you're trying to accomplish!

Dang it...the kit was for the 2wd....got all excited for nothing. Darn you Chixterra! :sorrymate:

A 2wd Xterra shares the same suspension minus the 4wd drivetrain. My 4wd is running right now with 2wd lower arms I got at a savage yard. Its 2wd frontiers that are a totally different animal. Might be worth looking into what kit that guy has. My guess is the kit is the same but the 2wd includes beefed up knuckles which lift the truck for more tire clearance. Toss out the spindles and the rest is most likely the same parts part for part in the 4wd kit.

yes and no - the 4-wheel drive kit also requires longer axles for the half-shafts. You're right about the knuckle tho. The other problem is the steering he is including with the kit he's selling is the same one I have, and from the looks of it he as the stock length heims and the long travel asks for a longer pair (I emailed total chaos about that one - I would have to swap my heims for longer ones). Sooo...while what the guy is selling is a good deal, it's not really a good deal for me.

(Which means, most likely, down the road I will be hitting up ORPP for some total chaos love)

you know, after headers, and lockers and...a divorce...:hmmm:

idk if your really looking for a long travel kit for the x. but i see them for sale quite often around us on http://www.dezertrangers.com/vb/content/ i'm slowly deciding what i want to do to a fronty. i beams, a-arms, deavers, flip shackles you know etc. but sometimes the guys sell some decent stuff on there. a runner fits me better :D

So I found a couple of Kuma photos of Terra at Moab lurking on the internet...

This one is such a cool shot:

You sir have an awesome build here, keep up the great work. Also I'm in love with your tube bumpers. I love that style so much more than the ARB and Shrock personally, it makes me think of the Baja trucks which are badass. Kudos sir, many of them to you.

dat wheel slip pic :)

I was waiting for someone to call me out on that! :sure:

Near the end of a trying day, to say the least. At that point, I had a busted motor mount, and my center link took its death blow(s) around the same time...

I wanted out of that canyon! Was up til 1 a.m. that night replacing the motor mount, and then had to do a poor man's alignment the next day to compensate for all the slop in the centerlink.

I know huh...it's not a good feeling banging over obstacles with your gear shift sitting three inches farther over to the right than it normally does!

I remember thinking to myself, "what is a fair price for my rig when whoever buys it is going to have to come down here and get it?"

:hmmm:

what cuases the mounts to break? is it the twisting of the frame when hardcore wheeling?

Off Roading puts a lot of torque leverage on the engine going up and down the steep hills. Or if you drive aggressively you over stress the mounts. The mount is basicly two steel plates with a rubber chunk glued in the middle. Over time with hard use the glue breaks its bond and it tears from the metal plates. The driver side is the one that always goes. The passenger side mount is pressed together on acceleration while the drivers side is pulled apart. I took some 1/4" chain and welded a length over the mount. The chain acts much like a limiting strap which will prevent the mount from over extending and tearing. Picture the mount like a rubber band if you pull to hard or to far on it it will snap apart.
