First Fill-Up (of many)
Hi, I've heard a lot about this forum and it seems very active which is what I like :) I'm a member of a couple other Xterra forums that are also very active but the more the merrier :)

I have a 4x4 2001 Xterra, silver in color with about 187,000 miles on it lol A LOT of miles imo. I currently live in Northern Arizona and I work in the National Park Service so that means every 6 months I'm going to be moving to a different state, HOPEFULLY to areas where there's a lot of off roading opportunities :)

My Xterra is my first 4x4 and I LOVE it! I try and go off roading every weekend in Sedona, but sometimes I get backed up on work or cleaning that I just don't have the time to do it. But it's so damn fun! I don't have stock tires, I have some TSR Safari tires which work wonders.

As far as modding, I really haven't done a whole ton of modding. First it was because of being tight on money and mods are VERY expensive i.e. better bumper, rear tire carrier, rock sliders, grille guard/bull bar, you know, things like that. But I've been doing some things that aren't very expensive, I've made a shovel mount on my roof rack which probably cost me $20 at the most and it's very sturdy, I've also put my tire up on top of my X (Hated trying to use a flashlight to go underneath and through the license plate (I just have it strapped down with some ratchet straps), recently bought and set up a CB radio w/ Antenna and trying to find out how to get my new hood/trunk antenna mount set up for my Firestik antenna, and my current project is I'm using black bedliner on the trim of my X, and finding out it's not so easy with the spray, so I'm buying the can and using a roller.

Also, someone in one of my other Xterra forums is selling me his bull bar w/ skid plates and I'm going to be setting that up. I have a couple other things set up in the future when the products I purchased arrive here, so I'm happy I'm finally modding my Xterra. A lot of you have some awesome xterras and I'm getting ideas from what you've done (especially with bedliner. Mine isn't completed yet but it's turning out awesome so far!). I also a little while ago bought a PML but haven't been able to install it yet because I was hoping I could find someone in my area on one of my other Xterra forums to help me out but no luck yet lol

Also, I might start a Build thread here, but unfortunately my camera is Kaput and I can't get it to turn on, so when I get it fixed, I'll post pics :)

Welcome to the fun site!!!

I think you will like it here :bmmd:

As for the Bedliner I have used both the cans and the roller and with the roller. Both have good results as long as you do it right. I look forward to the results!!

Welcome in from Florida!
Little mods go a long way!

Florida has some pretty good off-roading between hills and mud. My favorite part is no emissions what-so-ever, so I can do all the engine/exhaust/intake tweaking I want w/o having to worry about passing an inspection. I've had a couple other 4x4's. The nissan performs pretty good out of the box, I'd say compared to others. Never figured out why it's such an underdog.

Needless to say, you'll find friendly people here and TONS of info and DIY stuff! Keep up the modding!

Oh yea I used to live in Florida, at least where I lived there's a TON of dirt trails and dense forests! I'm definitely going to keep searching through the forums for ideas!

Welcome from TN!

NPS is awesome. I had the privilege of meeting a couple of your sisters at Ft Sumter, SC and totally reconsidered what I want to do for a living. Ha!

Anyway, welcome!
