Oh I've had the mod bug long before getting the X.
My first off road toy.





2001 Subaru Forester,many mods (lift,partial snorkel,transfer clutch lock switch,skid plates,etc) all hand made because NOBODY makes off road stuff for a Forester.

OK,I'm about a week or so away from doing BL and PML and went and had a talk with my tire guy. (actually owns the business).


He can put me in a set of these (Radar Renegade M/T 285/75 r16)



Yes their cheap Taiwan tires but.....

Gotta be at least decent.

Now I'm not above spending $ on good tires but I'm really thinking/leaning to doing the SAS thing but at least a year or more away,these could hold me for that time at least til I make up my mind.

(my tire guy will do 4 mounted and balanced out the door for $650 to me)


Anybody here ever run them?
Thoughts?

Yes, it's literally 20 minutes away. Sad thing is I hardly get time to go there with work 6 days a week. I'm honestly not wheeling my X a lot right now due to my tires being in horrid shape (Dryrot). I'm saving to get new wheels/tires. I'm going with some 15x10 Black rocks with 33x12.50 Falken Wild Peaks. Not a big crawler, just enjoy trail riding and some hill climbs.
