Post up your working area. Whether it be a garage, shop, man room, driveway, or whatever.
Indoor garage space is very dear within the city. I pay $300 a month for a space in a shared outdoor lot for my commercial work van so you can imagine what a private indoor locked and alarmed space would be to rent. I'm looking for a building to buy that I could use as investment property but finding one that would work and that I can afford is difficult. My farther-in-law got $1.2 for his building that would have been perfect but I can not swing that kind of cash. I've got a parking space off the street at my house that I use now but it's outdoors and there is no place for my compressor or to lock up tools. I need to work something out. Wah wah wah...RacerXXL's garage is sweet...How hard is it in NYC to find a place to work on your X?

I do most of my mod stuff at work but if it doesn't require machine tools I utilize my garage. When I built it this setup was mostly intended for working on my other hobby but it works just fine for my Xterra.
My work area at home.
The right side working on an AR 15
My house tool box I have another one at work with all my bike tools.
And the left side where no Xterra work goes on but a lot of very fine ammunition is produced.
