You're just jealous :lols:. I will probably add a snorkel at some point in time as well, but as of right now I have too much other stuff I want to do first, starting with a lift hopefully in the next month or two (assuming I can get funds together).

So not to get this thread back on track or anything.. but I thought I didn't like the two door Heeps (sorry dude.. just habit, I even do it to my dad..) because I think the 4 door ones look badass.. but I foresee you changing my mind about the two doors.. I think I am going to like this.

Looking forward to building this one up, though I've been realizing how much money I could spend building this thing up if I had unlimited funds (just for the hell of it I priced out an American Expedition Vehicles conversion and all I can say is holy $50k).

Hahaha yeah it can certainly get pricey. But at least you have a massive aftermarket sector to choose from. Just stay away from Expedition Portal- you'll get WAY too many ideas on that forum for mods for overlanding/off roading. :p

I must say I am very proud of you off roading your brand spanking new rig. That is AWESOME! Way to break it in ASAP, haha!

That was my thought as well. I may get a two door. I know I'm getting on in the next few years.

Was a good time for sure. Had been trying to run Coney Flats and Middle St Vrain for a while to try the epic water crossing, but every time I tried to run it in the X I was unable too for one reason or another. Helped to have a bunch of folks there who knew the trails and could spot real well, definitely not a run I would want to solo.

Decided it was a good day to drive around topless (and doorless).

First time I've ever driven around in a vehicle with no doors or top. It is definitely a different feeling, but I liked it. Now if I only had a place to store the hard top the entire summer, then I could ride around with no top all summer.

When I had my Heep come summer I'd take the doors & top off and fit a bikini top. It'd stay that way rain or shine all summer. Of course it had neoprene seat covers, and no carpet.

I wouldn't mind having discos for the doors of the X....but I like my interior.

Looking at getting a Bestop Trektop for it next summer, that way I can have the Safari top for most times, but can zip up the sides and back when I need to.

Installed Teraflex spare tire CB antenna mount with 4' Firestik II, ran coax and ground. Tomorrow I get to tear apart the dash to wire the CB and my BullyDog GT as well as running a power cable for my Garmin. I will post pics up for everything tomorrow afternoon when I'm done.

CB install did not exactly go according to plan, the place I was planning on mounting the radio will not work because I will be unable to move my passenger seat to get into the back (much less if I have a passenger). But I have been thinking I will take this opportunity to upgrade to a Cobra 75WXST, that way I can mount everything out of sight behind the dash and just have the mic mounted to the dash. I was able to get the Bully Dog and the Garmin wired up and looking pretty though, so not a completely wasted day.

I have to say Im not a fan of the new Rubi rims...

Still though I hate you for such a sweet stock rig ;)

Meh, the rims will go eventually (can't fit 35" x 12.50" on a 6.5" wide rim very well) so I figure I can deal with them for the time being.

Partial to KM2s, but so expensive. Also looking at Mickey Thompson's or D!ck Cepek, but tires are still a ways off I think so plenty of time to peruse and drool over all the options.

I know what you mean about the BFGs. I hunted for a year before finally pulling the trigger on the KM2s. Best thing I've done to my truck yet, besides change the spark plugs. :p

Went out and picked up a Bestop Trektop NX yesterday and installed it this morning, as well as installing my new CB and taking the motorcycle to the shop for its 500 mile service (man been a busy day).

Now I just need to tune the CB (tomorrow at off-road club mod day) and I think I'll be done for a while, or at least until I have the money for a lift (waiting on extended warranty refund from the X).

Been a long time coming, but finally lifted the Jeep (though for now you'll have to take my word for it cause we got rained out so no pics tonight). I'm happy with it though, the 2.5" kit actually gave me closer to 3" of lift and I was able to drive it home from Denver with no problems. Big shout out to the Denver Xterra crew for putting up with a Jeep and helping me out, would have been much more difficult without a couple helping hands.
