Hey guys,

My name s Jonny from Lexington, KY. I originally got into off roading when I did my military service and was stationed in Montana; The cold winters and thick snow patches wouldn't suffice for a 2WD vehicle. After my deployment and many encounters with deer, I became interested in what I can do to make my XTERRA more rugged and intimidating.

I didn't know how to fully post pictures like most, so I just made them as attachments.

I still have a very long way to go, but just like many of us, money is an issue. I hate this brush guard and am planning to get an ARB Bumper whenever TAX season comes around.

Welcome to The Nation from Massachusetts! You've got a clean looking truck, looks like it'll make a good foundation to build from.

Welcome to the Nation. You should REALLY look into RLC bumpers.. he build custom bumpers for the Xterra and he is in Lexington KY if my memory serves me right, if not he is very very close to you.

Welcome to XN. I agree you should take a look at RLC for your bumper options. (I just happen to have the prototype on my X). He's in Louisville, very reasonably priced and you could save shipping cost by picking it up yourself.

Welcome into the nation!

I hope you enjoy the site and all we have to offer. Like others have posted James with RLCweldfab.com is in KY. He is a great person to deal with.

Well, I talked to James about a packaged deal of getting a front, rear, and tire swing but he said he can only give me a deal on the rear and swing which I'm cool with because I love the safari look that ARB bumpers bring.

Try to keep it family friendly. There is a filter that will catch some words.

Man I look forward to possibly seeing another built X around Lexington! In case you didn't know, there is an off-road park located just North of Frankfort. Some co-workers and I went before I left in July. A pretty good place to go!

Hey bud! Good hearing from you, it's been a while. Hope everything is good.

What's the name of the park? Frankfort is fairly closer to me than Ft. Knox!

I've heard of the place. Sounds legit. I won't be off-roading for a while; have this weird noise that I'm getting checked out tomorrow.

Some places are rockier than others, but I don't think it gets too crazy. I've only been on a portion of the trails, most of my experience there is top down views whilst flying. But as you can see from my lack of sliders, I'm careful.

That's good to hear. Just checked out the place, it's only 1 hour 15 minutes from me, so probably about an hour away. I went to Red River Gorge last weekend and drove around the trails there. It was more scenic than anything. Pretty sick!

Lots of great backpacking and camping in the Gorge. I used to go a lot in college, and I plan on the wife and I doing more out there when I get back.
